Classic stop along Route 1 in Washington County. Beautifully redecorated inside with lots of updated menu items, including great seafood options of course. Helen's is famoua for their huge slices of fresh pie, so save room for dessert!
I stop in here any chance I get! I love the location (right on the river), the food, and the service. The menu has lots of items to choose from, and delicious local beers. Obviously the pies are a main attraction, you really can't go wrong with Helen's Restaurant!
Helen's has really friendly service that gives you time to enjoy your meal and conversation with your companions. The space is beautiful, and the story behind it even more so. Some favorite dishes are the fish chowder, fettuccine alfredo, and Blue Goat burger. And when they talk about pie you'll remember the rest of your life, they're not kidding.
Friendly service, good food, fair price. Just had dinner there. Didn't catch my servers name. Wish i had she was prompt and did a grear job.
Helen's is really great! Terrific prices, quality food, and those slices of pie! I've never had blue eery pie like this before. If they have any left (late summer only, when blue berries are fresh) get the blueberry whipped pie. Pickled beets were the veg of the day and I had to have 2 bowls. Great spot to stop after hiking up at the Bold Coast.
